Biography: Dr. Lucien Veleva is majored in Electrochemistry (Eng.) from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria. Her PhD received in the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Bulgaria, and after that she worked as a researcher in the Institute for Protection of Metals from Corrosion, Sofia, Bulgaria, as a head of National Laboratory of Corrosion. Since 1994, she is Associate Professor at Applied Physics Department, CINVESTAV, Mexico. In 2011, she received “Doctor Honoris Causa”. Then, in 2012, she was honored with the Francis La Que Award from ASTM G01, USA. Moreover, in 2013, she the NACE International Distinguished Career Award. In 2021 she was honored with the National Award of the Electrochemical Society of Mexico. Lucien Veleva has more than 200 articles in international journals, has chapters in international books, and has 4 patents.
